Well, it's been way too damn long since we last did the weekly music news. I'm attempting to turn over a new leaf and return the weekly column to you, out loyal fans. Look for new things to start popping up on the site soon, and if you are in a band, and want us to post concert events, please let us know and we'll do what we can. Also, you can shoot me and email (I don't have the portal submission scripts built yet) and I'll get you added to the portal. This is all in preparation for the launch of NationalNoise.net which is going to hopefully be a one stop shop for independent music in you area. We will be looking for contributions once the site is up.
Enough shameless plugging for now, onto the news...
Slowride released it's second Split 7" in two weeks. This time with Eniac on End Records. It shouldn't be more than $5 anywhere in the United States.
LTJ jumped back to a major (Warner Bros.) from Fat Wreck Chords but there's no beef with Fat Wreck as LTJ still plans on releasing EP's and Live cuts under them. Why? "Because fucking Fat Wreck rules!"
NOFX is launching a European tour due to start after this summer's Warped Tour ends. They'll also be playing two dates in Japan in between the two. Check out the details
Why does it take f'in Canadians to finally get it right?

Plea For Peace / Take Action Tour 2002 announced it's dates on July 5th. It kicks off on Sept. 13th in Worchester Mass and runs through Oct. 28th. hopefully make a stop in Dallas once again (th3space and I caught the show in 2000 and it was well worth it). Michael Jackson claims the music industry has labeled him a "Freak". No, not Michael Jackson, he's the epitome of Normal.
Weezer's Rivers Quomo takes yet another step towards selling out and records with Rap-Core group Crazy Town.
Speaking of Weezer, they apparently have a group of fans (read: Saves The Day) so infatuated, they decided to borrow Weezer's video for their new release.
"Foo Fighters' as-yet-untitled fourth album is set for release on October 22, according to an RCA spokesperson. Those who have heard the album say it's a return to the group's earlier sound, with heavier, much more aggressive music." Good, I dig Dave Grohl and his nasty habit (read: Pat Smear).
Well, there seems to be alot more crap, uhhh... headlines MTV's site, but if you read this, you've read the interesting ones already. Unless you want to read about Jerry Cantrell starting shit with SevenDust and Melissa Auf Der Maur being hot.
